Quebec premier appeals for calm in wake of protests on school gender-identity policies

There was political reaction at the National Assembly on Thursday following protests in Montreal and across the country over gender identity policy in schools. Quebec Premier François Legault called on Quebecers on all sides of the debate to remain calms, as he gets ready to launch a committee on questions of gender identity.
