Hong Kong was hit with record-breaking rainfall that is being described as a “once-in-a-century” event. Hong Kong’s transport system faced severe disruption due to the heaviest rainfall on record in 140 years — brought on by Typhoon Haikui which made landfall in the Chinese province of Fujian on Tuesday.
