Their lives are disrupted and in many cases the bills are adding up for evacuees from the Northwest Territories. But an upcoming event hopes to ease some of that burden. A benefit concert will be a chance to support displaced residents and come together through music. Dennis Bevington, former mayor of Fort Smith, and, Brad Laviolett, Salt River First Nation chief, joined Global News at Noon Edmonton to share what’s planned and how people and businesses can pitch in to make a difference.
