Following the release of the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security’s 2023 report on Monday, which detailed an increase in ransomware attacks, Director General of the National Cybercrime Coordination Centre (NC3) and Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (RCMP) Chris Lynam encouraged Canadians to come forward with any case of cybercrime — no matter how big or small — as even one breakthrough could be the “missing piece” to an international puzzle.
