NDP leader Jagmeet Singh called for long-term national emergency response teams in Canada on Wednesday during a press briefing when asked about the ongoing wildfires across B.C. and the Northwest Territories. Singh said the Federal government simply has “better infrastructure” and resources to tackle the fires and evacuate citizens at a national level.
