Ground broken for new long-term care facility in Havelock, Ont.

It has been a long-time coming, and now the Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen is celebrating a major milestone.

The official groundbreaking of the new 128 bed long-term care facility on Old Norwood Road, just south of the village, was held Wednesday morning.
The process started over a decade ago and even led to rallies at Queen’s Park over the years when the project stalled.
But now, construction is about to finally begin at the end of the month with an opening sometime in 2025.
