Atcheynum of Lucky Man Cree Nation Chief Crystal Okemow acknowledged the Minister's settlement of treaty annuity claims on Tuesday saying "It's a step in the right direction but Canada has a long way to go and needs to tell the true history if it's going to stay on the path to reconciliation."
