After seven years in the making, Montreal’s multi-billion-dollar light-rail, the REM, officially opened on Monday Morning. As Amanda Jelowicki reports, after just a few hours into its first day, the light-rail’s system suffered a couple significant glitches that forced passengers to disembark and take shuttle buses into the city.
