Following the announcement of two new fossil fuel elimination guidelines on Monday, Environment and Climate Change Minister Steven Guilbeault spoke on Canada’s goal to reach net zero emissions by 2050. Responding to critics suggesting the federal government is “piling on” too many climate change frameworks, he said “global collective action” is the only way to achieve net zero.
