Blinken says delays in confirming new U.S. diplomats undermines security

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Monday he had sent a letter to every member of the U.S. Senate, urging swift confirmation of dozens of nominees for State Department positions and saying that the failure to do so undermines national security. “Our ambassadors are the face of the United States where they serve,” Blinken said.
