After convening a meeting between Swedish and Turkish officials, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said Thursday that a positive decision on the Nordic country’s bid to join NATO was “possible” by next week. Stoltenberg said he believed that Turkey’s objections could be met ahead of the two-day summit in Lithuania on July 11-12.
