Canada Day celebrations take place across the nation in a particularly unique manner, celebrating new citizens. The annual celebration, however, is often reflected upon in a different manner by many Chinese-Canadians and Chinese immigrants. Also, a strike is now underway for more than 7,000 port workers in B.C., halting a large portion of trade and shipping in Canada and putting the supply chain at risk. And, there’s a new law in South Korea that changes how millions of peoples’ ages are counted, making citizens unexpectedly younger overnight.
