Decision to close a Montreal pool after 59 years stirs sadness
Description
June 30, 2023
Swimmers at one Montreal pool are taking their last dips as this is the last summer before its closing. The PPK pool in Pierrefonds will shutter after 59 years of summer fun. A lot of swimmers have passed through since it first opened in 1964 and many say they will miss the affordability and community feel of the small pool that has become an iconic landmark in the neighbourhood. Tim Sargeant has more.
