On Thursday, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre was asked about whether the Competition Bureau should weigh in on the potential merger of Postmedia and Nordstar — two large media entities. To this, he replied he needs to further “study the details of that merger more closely,” but added Canada needs an “open and free internet” for more media competition.
