Kidnapping case wipes out Port Moody policing reserve fund

The Port Moody police responded to a call of kidnapping outside a gym in the community but had to call in Vancouver police and others to help in the investigation. That meant other departments had to be compensated, emptying the reserve fund. Some are saying this is exactly why British Columbia needs its own provincial police force.
