A man has been airlifted to a Toronto area hospital with serious injuries after a single vehicle collision in Bethany in the City of Kawartha Lakes on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the area of Ski Hill Road and Fleetwood Road, around 1:15 p.m.
City of Kawartha Lakes OPP say a car had left the roadway and hit a tree, trapping the driver inside.
The impact of the crash ejected the vehicle’s engine, which could be seen several feet from the car.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash. No charges have been laid at this time.
