Junior high students in St. Albert will soon have the option to take a course called ‘2SLGBTQIA+ Perspectives.’ The public school division there unanimously approved the addition of the program for next fall. Advocates feel the lessons could be life-saving. ‘Global News at Noon Edmonton’ sat down with Paula Power and Les Kirchner from the St. Albert Public School division to learn more about the course and the impact they hope it has.
