The U.S. is accusing a Chinese jet fighter crew of an "unnecessarily aggressive" intercept of its spy plane over the South China Sea on May 26. The Chinese Shenyang J-16 strike fighter flew directly in front of the nose of the U.S. Air Force RC-135 reconnaissance plane, “forcing the U.S. aircraft to fly through its wake turbulence,” the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) said.
