Leafs president says he ‘felt differently’ about team’s future after call from Kyle Dubas’s agent

During a news conference Friday, where he elaborated on the team’s decision to part ways with General Manager Kyle Dubas, Toronto Maple Leafs President and Alternate Governor Brendan Shanahan admitted he “felt differently” about the future of the Leafs after receiving a call regarding a “new financial package” from Dubas’s agent — prior to the cessation of his contract.
