Before today’s coronation, King Charles III was both the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history. He held the title of Prince of Wales since 1958 and he inherited the title of Duke of Edinburgh when his father Prince Philip died in 2021. Eric Sorensen looks back at the King’s long road to the throne.

Before today’s coronation, King Charles III was both the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
