Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran arrived for federal court in Manhattan Wednesday to testify that he did not create a hit song for himself by copying a classic Marvin Gaye hit from the ’70s. Speaking outside the courthouse, Kathryn Townsend Griffin, daughter of singer and songwriter Ed Townsend who co-wrote “Let’s Get it On” with Marvin Gaye, said the suit was about fairness and opined that it was “in God’s hands” now.
