Dartmouth hotel to become homeless shelter, on-site clinic

The province is leasing a Dartmouth hotel for a year to house more homeless individuals. But the facility is going to be used as more than just a shelter – it will also include on-site clinic access to support the health and well-being of those living there. As Alicia Draus reports, the hope is to help reduce visits to emergency departments and walk-ins for those experiencing homelessness.
