Derailed train cars on McPhillips Street overpass in Winnipeg triggers evacuations

Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Service assistant chief Scott Wilkinson discussed the next steps to ensuring public safety following a morning train derailment on the McPhillips Street overpass near Logan Avenue in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Friday. Wilkinson said no hazardous material was contained in the cars, but an “integrity assessment” must take place before McPhillips Street is opened to the public.
