Speaking in front of a parliamentary committee studying food inflation on Monday, the executive vice-president and chief operating officer of Costco Wholesale International and Canada Pierre Riel said that Costco has not sought to increase its profits amid rapidly rising grocery prices in Canada. “We’re in Canada to serve Canadians,” Riel said.
