Nova Scotia inquiry commissioners defend recommendations for advisory groups

Kim Stanton, one of the commissioners in the Nova Scotia mass shooting inquiry, defended the Mass Casualty Commission's recommendations for various advisory groups to study issues related to policing and other issues. She said the advisory groups were focused on a community-centred and collaborative approach as community safety requires "all the partners" to be at the table. Chair Michael MacDonald also referred a question about if the RCMP failed to Chief Supt. Darren Campbell's inquiry testimony in which he said "I'm truly sorry that we've failed you" to victims' families and promised to do better.
