Poilievre accuses Trudeau of waging a ‘war on work’ with high taxes

Speaking during question period at the House of Commons on Monday, Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre accused Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of starting a “war on work” with taxes and questioned whether the government would announce “serious penalties” for gatekeepers raising housing costs. Trudeau responded by giving examples of the Canada child-care benefit, clean energy investments and workers’ benefits as policies to support middle-class workers.
