TikTok building ‘firewall’ around U.S. data, deleting legacy data in Virginia, Singapore: TikTok CEO

TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew testified before the U.S. Congress that the company is building what he called a “firewall” that would seal off U.S. data from foreign access. He said legacy U.S. data is being deleted from servers in Virginia and Singapore, which he expects to be completed by the end of the year.
