Shriners Hospital for Children fights patient fears with virtual reality

If you've ever been in a room with a child getting a needle or any invasive medical procedure, you know it can be a pretty unpleasant experience. But Montreal's Shriners Hospital for Children is reporting resounding success using virtual reality (VR) to ease the process. After years of research, the institution has now fully integrated VR into its daily operations. Global's Dan Spector reports.
