Singh commends Trudeau’s choice of David Johnston for special rapporteur: ‘integrity, non-partisan, trustworthy’

NDP leader Jagmeet Singh commended the pick of former governor general David Johnston to be special rapporteur on foreign election interference. Singh said Johnston is someone of “integrity” who is “non-partisan” and “trustworthy.” While he threw his confidence behind Johnston and dismissed characterizations made by the Tories and the Bloc who called Johnston a “family friend” of Trudeau, Singh said he was still calling for a public inquiry into the matter.
