Speaking to journalists on Monday, Conservative party leader Pierre Poilievre expressed his support for Bill C-314, which challenges the use of Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) for people suffering with mental health issues. “I don’t believe we would need to use the notwithstanding clause because no court has required maid be provided for mental health alone,” Poilievre said.
