Iran’s supreme leader said on Monday that poisoning schoolgirls is an “unforgivable” crime that should be met with “the toughest of punishments,” amid public anger over a wave of suspected attacks in schools. “If there are individuals behind this,” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said. “The relevant governing bodies, enforcement and information bodies, must pursue this and find the leads on this crime.”
