University of Saskatchewan Associate Professor Dr. Amira Abdelrasoul spoke on Wednesday about her team’s project to develop a membrane for dialysis patients. Abdelrasoul said she witnessed a family member suffer the effects of kidney failure. She looks forward to the next stages of developing the membrane to reduce inflammation and increase compatibility with various blood types.
