David Bouchard is a prolific poet and author who has struggled with dyslexia his entire life. The Order of Canada recipient has more releases coming this year. And as Jay Durant tells us on This is BC, he’s become an advocate for literacy. Editor’s note: This is an updated story. A previous version reported Bouchard as Metis. In fact, though he identifies as Metis, Métis Nation British Columbia declined his application for citizenship in 2008. He has appealed the decision.
