South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin said Friday, during a joint press conference with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, that North Korea had stolen the equivalent of US$1.2 billion through illegal hacking since 2017. He said the country was using illicit hacking to fund its nuclear program and called on the U.S. to cooperate with South Korea and Japan to block its “illicit revenue stream.”
