Beijing ‘verifying’ after suspected Chinese spy balloon spotted over U.S.

Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said Beijing was "verifying" reports that a Chinese spy balloon has been flying over the U.S. for a couple of days and urged both sides to handle the matter “calmly and prudently.”
