Trudeau calls Morneau, Macklem ‘random liberals’ to jeers from Conservatives

Speaking during question period on Wednesday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau caused quite a stir when he called former finance minister Bill Morneau as well as former and current Bank of Canada governors Mark Carney and Tiff Macklem “random Liberals” in response to a question from Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre. “You know the Conservative leader is stumbling over himself when he starts quoting random Liberals,” Trudeau said, to jeers from the crowd for nearly a minute.
