Offering private health-care services helps Canadians ‘buy their way to the front of the line’: B.C. premier

Speaking on Wednesday, B.C. Premier David Eby said that offering private health-care services, versus bolstering the public system, doesn't address the root problems of the province's system. He said it doesn't shorten the line-up of Canadians needing health-care access; rather, it helps others "buy their way to the front of the line." This follows Ontario Premier Doug Ford allowing some services to be offered privately for an extra cost.
