Vancouver council to vote on improving fire safety in SRO buildings

Vancouver city council is set to consider a new initiative Tuesday to improve fire safety in SRO buildings. Since 2016, the number of fires in the buildings has more than doubled from 104 to 223 and council hopes to address the growing problem.
