In 2002, a vacant store space in downtown Peterborough became the start of a two-decade journey for an entrepreneur. Brenda Ibey helped bring the Avant-Garden Shop from a vision to a reality, and most recently was awarded with the title of 2022 Businesswoman of the Year by the Peterborough and the Kawarthas Chamber of Commerce.
