U.S. State Department advises Americans against travel to Sinaloa, Mexico amid increased violence

U.S. State Department spokesperson Ned Price advised Americans against travel to Sinaloa, Mexico on Thursday amid increased violence in the region. The violence in Sinaloa, home to the Sinaloan drug cartel, comes as Mexican officials have announced the arrest of Ovidio Guzmán López, son of Mexican drug kingpin “El Chapo.”
