Damar Hamlin collapse: NFL medical officer says emergency response ‘prevented very tragic outcome’

Dr. Allen Sills, the chief medical officer for the NFL, outlined on Wednesday the various preparations in place for when emergencies occur such as heat illness and cardiac incidents, following Damar Hamlin’s collapse and cardiac arrest during Monday’s Buffalo Bills game. He also said that the “immediate response’ by officials helped “prevent a very tragic outcome.”
