Saturday was a long day for Halifax fire crews tasked with putting out a blaze that broke out at a scrap metal yard. It’s under control now, but it forced a number of early-morning evacuations and the closure of a busy road. As Callum Smith reports, fire crews and residents are relieved it wasn’t worse.
