Laura Walton, president of CUPE’s Ontario School Board Council of Unions, said on Monday that workers will be back at schools on Tuesday after receiving confirmation Premier Doug Ford will rescind Bill 28, the controversial legislation that imposed a contract on unions and impacted their ability to strike. CUPE will end its strike and go back to the negotiating table with the government.

CUPE agrees to end strike after Ford rescinds Bill 28: Union president

Laura Walton, president of CUPE’s Ontario School Board Council of Unions, said on Monday that workers will be back at schools on Tuesday after receiving confirmation Premier Doug Ford will rescind Bill 28, the controversial legislation that imposed a contract on unions and impacted their ability to strike. CUPE will end its strike and go back to the negotiating table with the government.
