Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland said Thursday that the projected balanced budget by 2027 laid out in the fall economic update was “significant” and it was the result of the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. She added it was also due to the “consistent and strong investments in Canadians and the Canadian economy.”
