Federal party leaders sparred with each other during question period over Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s use of the notwithstanding clause to impose a contract on thousands of education workers. During question period on Wednesday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said the Ford government’s use of the notwithstanding clause was “wrong”. However, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh said Trudeau’s condemnation did not go far enough. Meanwhile, Trudeau sparred with Poilievre over his failure to condemn the move.

Federal party leaders sparred with each other during question period over Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s use of the notwithstanding clause to impose a contract on thousands of education workers.
