Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe announced on Wednesday that the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) will be bowing out of the retail sector. The SLGA is not a core business of government for the province, Moe said. He added that “health care, building new health-care facilities, education, transportation are core businesses of government.” Wholesale will continue in the province and current employees will be supported during the transition.
