Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Supt. Craig Abrams testified on Friday at the Emergencies Act inquiry saying that concerns by some members of his team had been brought to him over the lack of autonomy they had with policing the convoy protests in Ottawa this past winter. “Their job is to get engaged with protesters – establish relationships, determine what their goals are, how can we facilitate an exit, what does an exit look like, all those activities trying to obtain those win-wins,” Abrams said adding “and they weren’t able to do any of that.”
