Dr. Vivian Puplampu, an associate professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan, spoke on Wednesday about a study she is conducting with a team of researchers concerning the effects of isolation due to COVID-19 lockdowns. "When the first lockdown hit, I was lonely and I started thinking about how older Black adults felt," Puplampu recalled. She added that when services moved online, older Black adults were especially impacted.
