special stamp honouring Sergeant Tommy Prince, an Indigenous war hero, was unveiled by Canada Post on Monday at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. Prince was decorated for his service in the Second World War and the Korean War, during which he earned the reputation of an elite soldier and saved many lives. Prince returned to Canada to face injustice and discrimination despite his bravery and sacrifice. An advocate for Indigenous rights and the abolishment of the Indian Act, he would become Canada's most decorated Indigenous veteran earning awards posthumously after his death in 1977.
