A tense situation during the afternoon commute in Vancouver Thursday afternoon when a suspected bank robber commandeered a taxi. It began in Chinatown around 5:30 pm when Vancouver police say a man robbed a bank at Main and Pender. The suspect then tried to flee the scene in an occupied cab — but he didn’t get very far.
